Calm PR was retained by Scotland’s flagship hospital for over eight years – first, in its role as a top international private healthcare centre, and then for three years after its purchase by NHS Scotland as a specialist unit to reduce waiting times lists.
Calm’s role embraced every sphere of PR activity – political lobbying and re-positioning of the private hospital to transform public and political attitudes so as to enable its highly successful sale to NHS Scotland. As an NHS establishment -- Crisis PR and media management, pro-active profile raising and on-going communications strategies to its full range of stakeholder groups and key audiences to anchor it as a Cardiac and Cardio-thoracic Centre of Excellence and Scotland’s most prestigious and best performing hospital.

Calm PR has been engaged by Astound for three years to position and pro-actively promote them as the UK’s most innovative and authoritative specialists in branding and strategic design within the Retail Sector. As well as delivering a ‘busy’ news service on their contract wins with such clients as Tesco, Superdrug, B&Q and major retail chains in China and India, Calm has strongly focused on intensively securing regular opinion and comment columns across the Financial Times, Economist, Independent on Sunday, BBC Two’s Working Lunch, Radio Five Live and trade publications which include Retail Week, The Grocer, Marketing, Marketing Week and Brand Strategy. They now contribute to industry reports by Mintel and Managing Director, Michael Longmore says: ‘From being barely known our profile and credibility has risen fantastically.’
